Designed and produced a Genesis 32x action/puzzle game in which the player assumes the role of a rocket powered, skateboard riding hamster who must navigate a Habitrail from Hell in order to regain his rodent freedom. Several unique characters were created for the game that sparked licensing interest

Garfield- Caught in the Act

Produced a Genesis cartridge and the worlds first 8 meg Game Gear cartridge featuring Garfield, that lasagna eating cartoon cat. Worked closely with the creator, Jim Davis, and his staff at PAWS. Inc. to ensure that this valuable license would not only survive the translation to the video game medium but would thrive in it.

Garfield

Jurassic Park CD

Designed and edited video kiosk segments of the CD adventure game based on the hit movie. The kiosks were educational multimedia stations, which were supposed to instruct visitors to the park about the dinosaurs using live video and animation. After the player is marooned on the island he/she must use the kiosks to figure out puzzles involving the dinosaurs behavior.

The production team worked with noted paleontologist Dr. Robert T. Bakker to make accurate content for the kiosks that educated the player as they provided clues to the game. Bakker

Shadow of Atlantis

Designed and produced a first-person adventure game based on the exciting characters and situations found in Jules Verne's classic novels, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea , Mysterious Island, and Journey to the Center of the Earth.

This CD adventure game featured live-action sequences as well as many intriguing and educational puzzles. In creating the design documents I sketched the characters and situations and created a poster sized blue-print of the Nautilus submarine.

Responsibilities included:

  • defining and supervising the work of animators, engineers, illustrators, and a composer

Shadow

Masked Rider CD

Co-produced the American version of "the Masked Rider- Kamen Rider ZO" CD. Research assistant Asou Masaru is transformed into a combination of man and locust, and gets a cool motorcycle to boot in this fast-paced action game.

The Kamen Rider license has been going strong for over 30 years with a new character joining the line every few years. In case you are keeping track- Kamen Rider ZO's special powers were the ZO punch and ZO kick.

Responsibilities included:

  • selecting voice talent
  • reviewing scripts
  • attending recording sessions
  • participating in taping, editing, and compressing of audio segments
  • negotiating U.S. music rights

Mega Bomberman

Coordinated testing resources and worked closely with a marketing person and a Sega of Japan liaison in order to bring this perennial multiplayer favorite to the Genesis. This game featured a challenging single player game as well as the ability to play with four players simultaneously.
